Bill Emery
Senior Architectural Technician

Bill Emery is a Senior Technician at KMF Architects. He has extensive architectural experience from an illustrious career that spans the nation. Bill performs services in preliminary project documentation and construction document execution, specification preparation, project management and construction administration. Bill has worked on a variety of projects ranging from large scale higher education and corporate headquarter design to minor office suite renovations. He has diverse experience with project types that include K-12 schools and universities, churches, federal and municipal offices, commercial buildings, and single and multi-family residential complexes. Bill is a veteran of the United States Army and holds a degree in Theological Studies. He is also an active academic.

Rodney J. Bryant, LEED AP
Senior Project Manager

Rodney Bryant has over 16 years of planning, programming and design experience on various project types, including K – 12 and higher education, cultural, civic and municipal centers, commercial and healthcare projects. Specializing in taking projects from the conceptual design to completion, he utilizes a commitment to client satisfaction, attention to project detail and practical real – world experience to deliver highly regarded projects. Recent projects include C4ATS Advanced Tactical Systems, Brevard County Schools Security Upgrades, Diamond Resorts Unit Renovations Across the State and construction administration of the TOHO Water Authority Administrative Headquarters – Staff Expansion Alterations. He is also a professional sports official, and in his spare time can be found coaching or training with one of the many youth organizations for which he volunteers.

Carl Shea, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP
Designer

Carl grew up in Jacksonville and is a long-time Florida resident. He attended the University of Notre Dame where he received his professional degree in Architecture. He is a licensed Architect in Florida. Carl is an experienced Project Architect/Project Manager on many different project types including international, military, commercial, aviation, government/institutional, educational, and residential program types. His experiences are international, working in countries across the globe. He has been active with the American Institute of Architects, serving on the AIA Orlando Board of Directors for 5 years as Secretary, President-Elect, President (2008), and Past President. He also served on the Local Planning Committee for the 2017 National AIA Convention in Orlando. He has done pro-bono work for Habitat for Humanity, and also served on the Vestry for his church.

Alexandra Witthaus
Designer

Alexandra Witthaus is driven to create solutions that serve people, communities, and support the history and culture of which they are a part of. Within each project, she brings both a macroscopic and microscopic approach that considers all the key players involved as well as the precise aspects of architectural detailing. Her three years of firm work and representing owners has allowed her to manage projects off and on-site to ensure design intent is executed and client’s desires are met.

Erika Lord
Project & Collaborations Coordinator

Erika Lord is dedicated to providing a diverse set of skills and perspective to the team. Her unique background in business and architecture marries her passions for unwavering client service, creative solutions, and architectural design. She understands the power of delivering “above and beyond” service to her clients and thrives on finding unique ways to reach people. Her experience in K-12 and Higher Education architecture brings an intuitive approach to the project lifecycle, while maintaining the highest standard of service and coordination to ensure a project’s success.

Samantha Scimé, Assoc. AIA
Designer

Samantha earned her Master’s degree from the University of Florida Graduate School of Architecture. Her passion for architecture developed at a young age when she realized how much architecture defines and shapes our day to day experiences. Samantha’s natural creativity, curiosity of human behaviors and understanding of spacial relationships combine to develop unique and creative solutions specific to each project and client. Her 3 years of experience as an owner’s representative has equipped her with in-depth knowledge of project management and owner focused solutions at varying scales. Samantha’s ability to harmonize imagination and energy with the purpose and function of a project makes her a vital asset to the KMF team.

Katie Kennerknecht
Interiors

Katie Kennerknecht brings a diverse background through her experience working with corporate, technology, hospitality and residential clients. Katie is a highly enthusiastic and collaborative designer with a passion for the holistic design process; from concept development and finish selections to construction documentation and administration. She brings leadership to both the design and technical sides of each project by leading vision sessions and programming efforts, as well as working through details during the design process. Her diverse design background allows her to bring a broad range of knowledge to each project she works on, helping to find the best solution for each client’s individual needs.

KMF Architects is an Orlando owned and operated full service Architecture and Interior Design firm specializing in client satisfaction through design. We founded our studio with the intention of augmenting the built environment, and we believe that quality design is attainable using pragmatic methods. Our design approach stems from the foundations of modernism, where the functional needs of each client are formally manifested and respectfully integrated with the surrounding context. Safia Boustique
Intern

Safia is a fourth year Architecture Student at the University of Florida. Her dedication to design began in her formative years when she discovered the malleability and presence of architecture in every field. She believes in using architecture to create spaces that holistically tie individuals and socieites together. Safia has been actively pursuing this belief through rigorous dedication to both curricula and through holding leadership positions in several organizations.

Don' Tre Harry

Don' Tre's passion for architecture began with the fascination of buildings and space, which has driven him to visit over 25 states in America to photograph architecture. His experience in Themed Entertainment at UF CityLab Orlando coupled with his innate ability to be creative by drawing, sculpting and writing echoes his dynamic style of design and knowledge to better construct space. After many years of working in hospitality, he has observed and learned how people move through and interact with space. He has also mastered the ability to create visual deliverables that immerse his clients into their project.

Brandon Holiday

Brandon believes architecture is a form of art that people inhabit and is determined to create a balance between the indoor and outdoor environment. As a graduate from Florida A&M University School of Architecture, Brandon's creativity has earned him recognition in school for his unique approach to personalized design and he continues to bring that same creativity to the professional world.
